BORUM, SEPT 26 : The railway bridge connecting Railway station at Borum and Lekhi has been opened in view of mounting pleasure from the commuters and also to reduce the traffic congestion in capital complex.
Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso on Tuesday morning has requested the contractor Techi Tama to clear the blockade which was made for curing of the works which were done earlier. I have also discussed the matter for opening of the bridge for the city dweller and Railway passengers coming from Naharlaugn and NIrjuli as well as Banderdewa and others by the authority of North East frontier Railway (NFR) and finally decided to open the bridge. Once it was observed that the bridge may be abandoned but I make several persuasion to restart and the Support of Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament is praise worthy. The matter was also supported by the Chief Minister and finally the work of the bridge began and it come up beautifully and today we are opening it for the local commuters and the passenger of the railway as well as will be utilized by all people. Kaso said that the bridge C/O supply fabrication and erection of road bridge (of 4×45 metre open web girders) over river Pachin as per plan measuring 196 metres with 12 metre wide overall is ready and appeal the local and commuters for longer use.
This bridge will serve immense benefits to the people of Banderdewa, Doimukh, Nirjuli, Lekhi, Borum, Yupia and particularly the Naharlagun and also This bridge will bit ease traffic conjunction of Naharlagun city. At the same time this bridge will help the traffic movement of Naharlaugn township during thr construction of four lane road in Naharlaugn to Banderdewa. Added. Kaso.
There are all together six bridge are under construction, few of them are complete while rest are in full progress and maybe competed by March/April and after completion all the bridge will serve the life line of thousand and lakhs of local people and others in capital complex and help in connecting the people. .
Contractor of M/S Tama Fabrication coy Techi Tama was also present who share the problem being faced during the construction and hope that the whatever the payment remain balance may be received in time to come by the railway authority. The contractor thanks the local people, state government, district administration and all people for their support and cooperation in completing the bridge.
