ITANAGAR, Sep 15: All Arunachal Pradesh Forest Worker Union (AAPFWU) demanded the department of Environment and Forest to regularly release the monthly salaries of all casual labourers of the department.
Addressing media persons here today at Arunachal Press Club (APC), the AAPFWU president Lindum Bagap said that after they has been appointed as casual labours in forest department, the state government has issued a Circular that salaries of all the casual labour should be release on time and monthly basis but it is unfortunate on the part of forest department and has failed to follow the orders of state government. The forest department has merely failed to release the salaries of last month, whereas other departments have been releasing monthly salaries of all their regular/ casual workers on time without any problem.
When they inquiry about delays of salary it is learn to knows that due to delays of approval of allocation or authorization of salary for contingency labours, there for they demanded the forest department to totally ban on this authorization system which is creating lots of problems in disbursing the monthly salary of the labourers community. He said.
Due to not releasing salaries of labourers on time we the labour communities have faced lots of problems and during COVID 19 pandemic our salary was delayed for three months and results we have lost two persons from our labour community said Tana Sangam, general Secretary, AAPFWU.
The offline classes and several other domestic problems are there but due to inordinate delay in regular disbursement of monthly salary there has been several untold problems and sufferings.
The AAPFWU requested the department to release their salary on time and if the department fails to fulfill their demands they threatened to go for democratic movement.
