Artists have a greater role to preserve the culture and music-Minister Alo LIbang

 NIRJULI, APRIL 20: The artist has a greater role to preserve the culture and music and tradition of paste, future and also the present which help in molding the society in right direction for peace, progress, and development of a nation. said Minister Health & Family Welfare Alo LIbang.

LIbang was addressing the 17th foundation day celebration of Arunachal Artistes Forum (AAF) here at Nikum NIya ground today evening. The celebration will continue till April 24th. He said that the paste and further can be beautifully highlighted by the artist and all the activities are beautifully presented to the listeners and the viewers. He said. The viewers and listeners enjoy the melody in the time of happiness and sadness and also understand the reality of life. Songs and music provide lots of information to the society and the music has power to change things in a right direction and the people also enjoy to listen all the legendary music and songs sung by legendary singers, many songs and music are alive and everybody like to listen to such music and songs sung by several top singers of state and country. He urged upon the artist community to keep up the tempo for the better cause of the society in peace, progress and development of state and country. LIbang said.

Referring to the memorandum submitted by AAF, LIbang assured to take up with Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister and also at appropriate forum and will discuss with the Chief Secretary for consideration in phase manner.

He further appealed to the artist community to create awareness on the SoP issue by the government for safety of the general public and also support and cooperate the administration in fighting against the Coronavirus.

Guest of Honour, IMC Corporater and IMC standing Committee Member Tarh Achak in his address motivated the artist community role in the society. He urged upon all the members of the artist to work for better development of music professionals in the state in time to come and also guide the younger.

Arunachal East Members of Parliament also spoke on the occasion as a special guest and motivated the artist for their role and service in supporting the general public by the songs and music. He assured to take up their genuine issue with the government for a resolution.

AAF Chairman Takam Dado Tallom in his address said that today several senior artists, legendary artists including budding artists have gathered together and it is a historic occasion that such an occasion has been organized to celebrate the day with fun but the Covid pandemic has made our celebration in very low profile. All the SoP of the Covid has been maintained and also we are emphasizing our members to create awareness on the issue. He said.

A memorandum has been submitted on the occasion requesting for establishment of training Institute for artist community in and around capital complex for vocal training and practice, pension and special support including ex-gratia grant to the members of artist community, the foundation day of AAF to be declared as calendar event, policy of government for 5% job reservations for artist, provision of corpus fund. Every district community hall needs to be renamed after a renowned and legendary artist.

Arunachal Artistes forum (AAF) organizing Chairman Kipa Niba in his address said that our organisation has been following all its norms as prescribed by the state government and health department. Hope the pandemic does not create problems in our state and affect us as we all are also very much concerned following the SoP. The invitees have also been reduced and the performances of the artist has been made into a roaster system in these four days from April 20 to 24. Niba added.
