ITANAGAR, AUGUST 28 : The family members of late Techi Meena Lishi on Sunday expressed discontentment over the court‘s decision to discharge accused Chumi Taya and Bijay Biswas from all the charges.
Talking to media persons at Arunachal press club (APC), president United Tara Aab Youth Foundation (UTAYF), Tana Sushil Tara said that in mid of the legal fighting, the Court of Session Judge Yupia on 20 December 2021 had discharged Chumi from all the charges.
Stating family members are in deep sorrow for the loss of daughter and unborn baby, Sushil said, all total 7 accused including Chumi were arrested on 13 November 2020 and still the case is in progress in various courts including the session court, high court and supreme court.
“As the family members again file a case at Guwahati High Court Naharlagun bench, the session court has passed an order to take the accused Chumi and Biswas for another 7 days police remand,” said Sushil. Adding that culprit should be given punishment and without trial no one should be discharged from the charges.
Still several report of forensic analysis and other hearing should continent and till the trial is completed all the accused should be under custody he appeal and hope that the state police will do their best to find out truth and the law will give exemplary punishment. He said.
Earlier, the police had filed a charge-sheet against Chumi on the grounds that she pressurized Lishi Roni, husband of the deceased and Biswas for purchasing three mobile phones under the direction of accused Roni which was used to hatch the criminal conspiracy to kill the deceased, informed Vice President.
The Vice president further thanks everyone those who stood behind the family members and informed that the case is still in progress and the organisation will fight the legal battle till the verdict is given.
