Union Minister of state for education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh raised concern on the slow progress of construction of KV & JNV in North East

ITANAGAR, Dec 26:The Union minister of state for education and external affairs Dr. Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh on Tuesday expressed dismay over the slow pace of construction of Kendriya-Vidyalaya (KV) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) schools in the north eastern states.

The provision for construction of JNV and KV schools have been already sanctioned by the Union government but the executing agencies are not accomplishing the task on time, said Singh while visiting KV – 2 Chimpu schools on the occasion of Beer Bal Diwas.

Opening of new school schemes in every district of the country envisages imparting quality education but the same has been stalled due to various circumstances, he lamented.

Informing that construction of some schools in the north eastern states have been halted due to non receipt of land from the concerned districts of the state, he urged the state of Arunachal Pradesh to apply for the left out district where said schools were not sanctioned.

Principle of the Union government is to provide one KV & JNV schools to each district of the north eastern states, thus benefit should be avail by the state government to strengthen the education scenario, he added.

Sharing a list of JNV schools that’s sanctioned but could not be initiated, he affirmed that within a short duration entire sanctioned schools would be constructed for the larger interest of the students community.

In the meantime, he appreciated KV-2 school for being fully equipped with the basic amenities such as infra-structure, sanitation and implementing the policy of National Education Policy (NEP) in toto in the state.

“I will use the KV-2 Chimpu as a scale to measure to other KV schools of NE states.” Said Singh, adding the education system and infrastructure should be improved to facilitate better education to the students.  

Being the union minister for external affairs he also raise the concern on the staple visa issue with China and termed it as political drama by the People republic of China and said that in case the international event our children will go and attend and bring laurel for our country and we are proud of our children’s who have vast potential in all fields. The Union Minister added.
