MHA Secy Visits Tuting to Oversee Vibrant Village Prog and Border Projects

Tuting, Oct 30: Atal Dullo, Secretary (BM) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, embarked on a two-day visit to Tuting, spanning from October 30th to October 31st, 2023. The purpose of his visit is to oversee the progress of the Vibrant Village Programme and various border infrastructure projects in the Upper Siang District.

Accompanying him on this visit are the distinguished Ld Chief Secretary of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Dharmendra, IG ITBP Mihir, and Secretary of Planning, R.K Sharma.

Upon his arrival, Atal Dullo, along with his entourage, promptly visited the Vibrant Village Programme village of Gelling. Here, he engaged with various stakeholders, including Gaon Burahs, PRI members, Self Help Groups, government officials, and ITBP jawans, to assess the advancement of these vibrant villages.

During his interaction with the people of Gelling, Dullo conveyed that the Government of India is directing its efforts towards the development of border villages under the aspirational Vibrant Village Programme. This initiative aims to enhance road connectivity and provide essential amenities to the residents in border areas. Dullo praised the residents of Gelling for their cordial relations with the armed forces, highlighting that these villagers, in their own way, contribute significantly to safeguarding the border.

The Chief Secretary, Dharmendra, also addressed the gathering, underscoring that Atal Dullo’s visit is primarily to oversee the progress of the Vibrant Village Programme and border infrastructure projects and to interact with villagers to better understand their concerns and find effective solutions.

Later, the dignitaries engaged with various Head of Departments, PRI leaders, Gaon Buras, and Self Help Groups at IB Tuting.

Upon the arrival of these dignitaries, a warm reception was accorded by Deputy Commissioner Hage Lailang, ADC Starlie Jamoh, SP Token Saring, ITBP personnel, Army Officers, Heads of Departments, PRIs, Gaon Buras, and the local Ponung Parties.
