Huge tree house at Kabu expected to draw tourists

AALO, Jan 28: The APP 2nd Bn Commandant Tumme Amo on Friday inaugurated a large tree house at Kabu area on the bank of river Yomgo in Aalo, West Siang which is expected to be a huge tourist attraction.

Speaking to media persons, Amo expressed his happiness that the youths were engaged in activities which would help them to become self-dependent (aatma nirbhar).

“This tree house will not only help them earn something but will draw the local tourists and other visitors to the  district headquarter Aalo  while on their way to Mechuka, a tourist hot spot of the state,” Amo said.

Tummo Amo said that no one should remain idle even if the farming period was over but to be engaged and utilize the free time to work for causes like  peace, progress and development.

District Tourism Officer Aalo T Kopak and other local officers and public leaders of the area were present on the occasion.

The tree house located near Kabu village on the bank of river Yomgo is around 60 feet and is made of local bamboo and other eco-friendly items. It has a capacity of housing 15 persons at a time. The three youths of the area who constructed the tree house are  Hogli Loyi, Jumge Loya, Jummo Loyi. The location of the tree house is near the bank of river Yomgo and surrounded by local orchards and gardens, which is a major attraction for locals and people of nearby areas.
