ITANAGAR, MAY 21 : Former Mr Arunachal Nishu Konia was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Monday in Upper Hollongi area of Balijan Police station in under Papum Pare district. Konia was working in the police. The Papum Pare police have registered a case and investigating the case and cause of the death. Informed SP Taru Gusar.
Gusar informed that the body was recovered on Monday early morning where the body of Nishu Konia was lying at Upper Hollongi Road NH 415 near culvert and it was verified by the family members, though it is a matter of investigation and would be known after the investigation progress. He said.
A case has been registered at Balijan Police station u/s-302 IPC and the police has launched the investigation. The police team has visited the place of occurrences, sketch map has been drawn, taken photographs of the spot, inquest were also conducted and taken and examined available witnesses, PM has also been conducted. He said.
After conducting PME the body has been handed over to the family members for carrying out last rites. Added SP.
The police is carrying out all angels in the case. the police officer further said.
As per sources, one person has been arrested but detail is awaited
