Electrician died on duty, case registered at Papuhill police station. 

NAHARLAUGN, JUNE 24 :  An electrician Techi Pai working under power department under Naharlagun sub-division electrocuted on duty on Thursday evening and passed away. Informed Capital Police sources.

The Naharlagun SDPO Dekio Gumja informed that On 23/06/22 at 1832hrs a telephonic information received from TRIMHS through L/ASI B. Adhikari that there is electrocution case at Borum and person electrocuted ahs been brought to hospital in emergency. He said.

The Papuhill OC along with L/ASI B. Doke and party went to TRIHMS that the person electrocuted as Techi Pai (40) S/o Lt. Techi Pakap of Borum village found laying dead on stretcher. He said.

Taba Nallo 28yrs S/o It. Taba Tori of Borum village brother in law of deceased informed that Lt. Techi Pai was working as casual staff of Power Department Naharlagun Sub Division. The incident takes place at around 1730 hrs while he was working at electric pole near Maruti show room , Borum village. Suddenly, due to electricity shock he was electrocuted on duty. And while he was being taken to hospital on the way he passed away. He said.

A written FIR received from brother in law has been registered at Papuhill police station vide UD case no. 02/22 U/s 174 CrPC registered and investigation has been launched. Said SDPO.

All legal formalities which include inspection, witnesses examined. Inquest done on Friday and after conducting post mortem examination at TRIHMS  the body was handed over to relatives for conducting last rites. SDPO Gumja further said.
