Changlang District: – Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, organized a motivational lecture on innovative methods to reduce food wastage on June 12th, 2023. The lecture aimed to raise awareness among students about the detrimental impact of food wastage on the environment and foster a sense of responsibility towards curbing this issue.
A total of 80 students from various classes, ranging from fifth to eighth, eagerly participated in the interactive session facilitated by Assam Rifles. The event served as a platform for the exchange of ideas between the students and the representatives of Assam Rifles. Both sides contributed valuable insights and discussed the adverse effects of food wastage on pollution and the well-being of the local population.
During the lecture, the students were enlightened about the significance of reducing food wastage and were presented with innovative strategies to combat this issue. The aim was to instill a sense of responsibility and encourage them to become conscientious citizens actively involved in addressing environmental challenges.
The event was attended by the Principal, along with the dedicated staff of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. The Principal expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of Assam Rifles in motivating young students to contribute to a healthier environment for themselves and society at large. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in nurturing responsible and environmentally conscious individuals.
