Arunachal Pradesh Athletes Emerge Victorious in Pencak Silat Trials for World Championship

In a spirited event hosted by the Indian Pencak Silat Federation, Patna witnessed intense trials today to select representatives for the upcoming 20th World Pencak Silat Championship in Singapore. Among the standout performers were three exceptional athletes from Arunachal Pradesh, who clinched their spots in the Indian contingent.

Miss Tap Menia, weighing in at 50 kg, showcased a remarkable display of skill and determination during the trials, securing her position to represent India on the global stage. Her agility and precision left a lasting impression on the selectors.

Miss Damsap Tungi, competing in the 55 kg category, exhibited exceptional prowess that earned her a well-deserved place in the Indian squad. Tungi’s skills stood out, marking her as a promising contender for the upcoming championship.

In the heavyweight category, P Nobin Jomoh emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the 90 kg class. His combination of strength and technique caught the eye of selectors, earning him the opportunity to compete against the world’s best in Singapore.

These three athletes, hailing from the picturesque region of Arunachal Pradesh, will proudly represent India at the 20th World Pencak Silat Championship.
