ITANAGAR, AUGUST 5 ; The team of All Nyishi Youths Association (ANYA) led by President Byabang Joram and General Secretary Dr. Bengia Tada on Thursday has demanded hold on declaration of result held for the combined graduate level examination for the post of Upper Division clerk (UDC) held on August 1 by APSSB.
Speaking to reporters, ANYA President Byabang Joram inform that during the examination of CGL for the post of UDC by Arunachal Pradesh staffs selection board (APSSB) on August 1, there at serial no-116 of the recruitment exam wherein the word ‘ Hills miri’ has been mention which is derogatory in nature and has hurt the sentiment of the people of state. he said.
The said work is no longer used by anyone in society and has been abolished and termed as derogatory in nature.
The APSSB has hurt the sentiment of the nyishi community by printing the word in a recent exam for which the APSSB Chairman should tender an apology and re-conduct the examination. Joram said.
We the team of ANYA meet the Chief Secretary incharge as the regular chief secretary Naresh Kumar is out of station but found that the Chairman of the APSSB is holding the chief secretary incharge so the solution of the issue could not be done and we will meet the regular Chief secretary and will decide further course of action on the issue. Joram said.
However we have apprised of our sentiment and informed the chairman of the APSSB that no result should be declared till the issue is amicably resolved. Joram said.
Earlier ANYA has submitted a memorandum to the APSSB which was forwarded to the CS for discussion and today the ANYA team has discussed the matter and discussion would take place on arrival of the regular Chief secretary. Joram added.
The combined graduate level examination was held at 72 venues in 11 district
Including the capital complex. Around 19,200 candidates have enrolled for the exam while 14,983 have appeared.
The internet facility was also blocked during the examination.
Though the APSSB is trying its best effort to conduct free and fair examination, error free examination, free from all problems but several allegations on the board have been witnessed and observed on several occasions for its activities.
Earlier several people including officials and private individuals had been arrested.
It is to mention that the word “ Hills Miri” has been repealed by constitution of India and termed as derogatory as such the ANYA has been taking up the issue for immediate and amicable solution. Meanwhile, APSSB, Secretary Santosh Kumar Rai in an order vide APSSB-13/4/2021/1176 dated August 5 has postponed the skill test until further notice.
“ the skill test in connection with the combined graduate level examination , 2021 which was noticed vide APSSB-13/4/2021/1161 dated 21st July and was scheduled to be conducted on August 8 (Sunday) at Itanagar is hereby postponed until further order, fresh date/ schedule for the skill test shall be intimated in due course”. The order said.
