52 bouts played on 4th day (quarter final), 26 bouts will be played on 5th day (semi final) while 13 bouts will be played on final day on July 14- BFI Vice President Narendra Kumar Nirwan

Manoj Singh || ITANAGAR, JULY 12 : 52 bouts were played on fourth day of the 5th junior boys national boxing championship-2023 underway here at Don Bosco College, Jullang, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, 26 bouts will be played on fifth day which will be semifinal while 13 bouts will be played on final day on July 14. Said Boxing federation of India Vice president and chairman of Referee judges commission Narendra Kumar Nirwan.

Nirwan was speaking to media and said that the organizing of boxing in Itanagar the eastern most part of country itself giving a huge potential for the youths of Arunachal Pradesh and North East region and have also huge potential for other games and sports. I have been appointed as observe to witness the games here. All total 367 boxers are plying from 35 states and union territory, a total of 354 bouts are being played. Pre quarter final and quarter final has been completed in two rings. He said.
Tomorrow 26 bouts for semi final will be played, today winners have become have registered in the name in medal winners and tomorrow they will play for gold and silver. There will be 13 bouts on the final day on July 14. He said.

All the necessary arrangements were made by the organizing committee were equally satisfactory. Added BFI Vice President Nirwan.
Arunachal Pradesh Olympic association secretary general Bamang Tago inform that whatever necessary arrangement required for the championship has been done.
From day one the AABA in close coordination with sports department has been organizing the national championship and monitoring every day. It is happy for the state government that the national events are being organized in state and the delegates as well as participants are happy with the arrangement. We will always look forward to host such mega event in state and thanks each and everyone those who are involved in the hospitality toward the delegates and participants. Added Bamanag Tago.

The 5th junior boys national boxing championship-2023 is underway here at Don Bosco College, Jullang, Itanagar. The championship was inaugurated by the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu along with host of other cabinet ministers, senior officers of state government and authority of sports and youths affairs department on July 9.
The valedictory function which will held on July 14 will be attended by Union minister Earth Science Kiren Rijiju and others.
All total 13 category of weight are being played weight from 42-46 to 80+kgs

On Wednesday Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) IGP (Law and Order) Chukhu Apa also attended the championship and witness several bouts and motivated the audience and interacted the officials and organizers and appreciated the organizers for providing good hospitality to the delegates and participants.
A total of 11 participants form Arunachal Pradesh has taken part out of which 8 were qualified to quarter final while 6 has qualified for semi final which will be played on Thursday July 13.
